El legado de las Casas Museo,
promotor del diálogo entre generaciones
El Congreso Internacional DEMHIST 2015 es un evento que tiene como meta compartir la experiencia y los conocimientos generados por los profesionales de las Casas Museo; apoyando así uno de los objetivos fundamentales de DEMHIST el cual es proveer una plataforma profesional para el intercambio de ideas y soluciones.
Para la Mesa Mexicana de Trabajo es una gran oportunidad de mostrar a los colegas de DEMHIST, la cultura y los museos de México, sobre todo la labor de las Casas Museo del país.
Este proyecto es acorde al Plan Estratégico del ICOM pues responde a la misión del ICOM de desarrollar el conocimiento en temas de patrimonio y museos, a través de conferencias de expertos en donde se reflexione y compartan experiencias colaborando así con la misión de sensibilizar a la sociedad sobre la importancia de los museos
Las casas museo tienen un impacto importante en la sociedad en donde están insertas y hay muchos casos en donde la comunidad se apropia de ellas como parte importante de su identidad, pues están vinculadas con la reflexión sobre las raíces, las costumbres y todo aquello que nos recuerda quienes somos.
En un mundo en donde la tendencia a lo inmediato y efímero es la constante, las casas museo se vislumbran como espacios que vinculan a las personas con su historia y la sociedad a la que pertenecen, y son un puente que promueve el diálogo entre las generaciones pues sus legados son testimonio de la forma de vida del hombre durante un periodo determinado. A través de sus acervos, tenemos una muestra de la vida cotidiana, la capacidad creativa y los intereses de una persona o grupo determinado.
El legado que preservan las Casas Museo es fundamental pues contribuye a la conservación del patrimonio mundial; por lo tanto es importante reflexionar sobre qué es lo que motiva a los coleccionistas a legar su patrimonio buscando que trascienda hasta las generaciones futuras, y cuáles son los diferentes formatos legales que permiten lograr ese objetivo.
La conservación del patrimonio es una actividad dinámica en la que es necesario estar atentos a los cambios y necesidades que van surgiendo al transformarse las sociedades. Por ello, es importante que las Casas Museo estén abiertas a la reflexión sobre los nuevos retos que deben enfrentar, con el fin de cumplir sus objetivos y que su legado se conserve para futuras generaciones.

The Legacy of House Museums
Promoting Dialogue among Generations
The DEMHIST 2015 International Conference is aimed to share the experience and the knowledge generated by professionals of the house museums, supporting in this way one of DEMHIST fundamental goals, which is to provide a professional platform for the exchange of ideas and solutions.
For the Mexican Chapter this is a great opportunity to show our DEMHIST colleagues Mexico’s culture and museums, as well as and remarkably the work of House Museums in the country.
This project follows the Strategic Plan of ICOM in response to ICOM’s mission to develop knowledge on the subjects of heritage and museums, through expert conferences where professionals can share and reflect on experiences, in order to make society aware of the importance of museums.
House museums have an important impact in the communities where they participate and in many cases they become a relevant component of their identity, since they are linked by their roots, their customs and everything that reminds them of who they are.
In a world where the trend to the immediate and ephemeral thing is the constant, the house museums are glimpsed as spaces that attach people with their history and the society to which they belong. They are a bridge that promotes the dialogue among generations because their legacies are testimony of the form of life of the man during a certain period. Across their arrays, we have a sample of the daily life, the creative capacity and the interests of a person or certain group.
The legacy that the house museum preserve is fundamental since it contributes to the conservation of the world heritage; therefore it is important to think what motivates the collectors to bequeath their heritage looking that comes out up to the future generations, and which are the different proper formats that allow to achieve this aim.
The conservation of the heritage is a dynamic activity in which it is necessary to be attentive to the changes and needs that are arising on the societies. For it, it is important that the house museums are opened for the reflection on the new challenges that must face, in order to fulfill their aims and that legacy remains for future generations.
